January 21-25th

What an exciting week we had here in the Bear classroom!

Honey the Bear returned to school after spending the weekend with a student.  Honey got to watch Strawberry Shortcake, play dinosaurs, and even go to the dentist!  Apparently Honey snores quite loudly!  What a funny bear he is!  Stay tuned to find out about  his adventures from next weekend. 

We finished up our Solar System and it is now proudly hanging in our classroom.  The children worked very hard on this project.

We had a blast at the Carousel!  We took a long walk down to Dragon's Hollow playground and then rode the carousel!

January 14-18th

We had an exciting and fun-filled week in the Bear classroom.

Honey the Bear had a wonderful time spending the weekend with his new friend.  They ate dinner together and watched movies.  They even had a chance to play tackle football with Grandpa!!

We dressed up in silly outfits and played together.

 

We began our paper mache planets.  Some students enjoyed getting messy while others did not like the feeling very much.

We practiced counting by 10's.  We also learned a new song for reciting the days of the week.

 

Our Pre-K students did a wordsearch looking for the sight words the learned last week.  They enjoyed this. 

 

 

 

Week of January 7-11th

This week we learned about the sun and all of the planets.  The students are making great progress memorizing the planets in order. 

In gym class, they completed an obstacle course and played a color game on the mats. 

Our Pre-K students practiced reading and writing sight words. 

We had to cancel our trip to the library due to cold weather and slippery roads.

  Honey the Bear is a new friend that gets to go home with a student for the weekend.  We can't wait to hear about their fun weekend on Monday when we meet again!

The Children's Center kids hope that all of our families and friends had wonderful holidays filled with peace, joy, and love!

There have been many wonderful improvements and changes happening throughout the school! The front and back have been rearranged and they both look great! New faces, new spaces, and lots of room for growth, learning, and harmony here at the Children's Center.
